In just 24 hours, three horrific accidents on South Australian highways claimed the lives of four individuals.
After a truck overturned at 11 a.m. on Friday in South Australia, two persons perished in a car accident.
At Mount Willoughby, their Holden ute rolled, killing the 63-year-old female driver and the 60-year-old male passenger.
Between Marla and Coober Pedy, the route was shut down while serious crash investigators examined the site.
Since then, it has been reopened.
Around 6.45 pm on Friday, a truck and a ute collided head-on with three other vehicles, killing a 19-year-old lady.
At before 10 p.m. on Thursday, a 22-year-old woman was also killed in a third vehicle collision when her car veered off the road and hit a tree on Uley Road in Uleybury.
Every single one of these fatalities and injuries could have been avoided, the South Australia Police stated in a statement.
Every single one of us must intentionally alter our driving behaviours to lower the danger of significant damage or death to ourselves or other road users.
