In the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, a collision involving two buses has injured six children.
At 4:15 p.m. today, the buses, which were each carrying 15 and 10 passengers, collided on the Great Western Highway near Sun Valley.
Paramedics attended to two adults and six children at the scene. All eight were sent to hospitals close by.
There have been no significant injuries recorded; the majority of passengers have bumps and bruises.
It’s possible that the impact caused one of the two bus drivers’ shoulders to fracture.
The Great Western Highway’s eastbound lane is still closed, but the westbound lane has been restored.
Even now, there is a lot of traffic moving in both directions.

Along with the bus driver, four kids were sent to different hospitals: two went to Westmead Hospital, two to Blue Mountains Hospital, and two to Napean Hospital.
The other bus driver, who was an adult, was brought to Westmead Hospital.
The crash’s investigation is still ongoing.
