A newborn child who was discovered abandoned on a suburban Sydney street is safe and well at the hospital.
After emergency services were summoned to a residence on Girra Road in Blacktown this afternoon, the kid was treated by paramedics and brought to Blacktown Hospital.
When a street family heard a disturbance and went outside, they discovered a baby girl left alone and abandoned.
The baby could have been left for up to two hours, according to the family, who claimed to have just resided in the house for one week.
It is thought that the baby was abandoned there between 12.30 and 2.40.
CCTV captures a car pulling up and a person being picked up from a corner, but the person’s identity is unclear.
Police are looking for the newborn’s mother because they are quite worried about her.
