In a plea for assistance, police say they believe the lady who was discovered dead in a western Sydney flat on Easter Sunday was 42 years old.
At 11.30 p.m. on Sunday, emergency services were called to a home in Merrylands’ Newman Street after a woman’s wellbeing was questioned, according to NSW Police.
The woman’s death was discovered when Cumberland Police Area Command officers arrived.
Although she hasn’t been publicly named, authorities said they believe the woman to be 42 years old.
At the site, a 38-year-old man was approached and transported to the Granville Police Station to assist with the investigation.
Later, he was freed.
The unit and its surroundings are still being investigated by forensic teams.

Anthony Eriksen, also known as Tony, her 13-year partner, was questioned, detained, and transferred to the Mascot Police Station where he was charged with murder.
