As the biggest military alliance in the world tries to improve ties with its Asia-Pacific neighbors, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been invited to the upcoming NATO meeting in Lithuania.
The conference takes place at the same time as a US intelligence leak outlining Chinese threats in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as war plans by Russia and the Ukraine.
Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand are among the other invitees from the Asia-Pacific region.
Whether Mr. Albanese will attend the summit is unknown.
