A woman who reportedly crashed her automobile while intoxicated, sideswiped another vehicle, and fell asleep at the wheel will appear in court.
Just before 5.30 p.m. yesterday, reports of a Mitsubishi station wagon colliding with a parked automobile prompted South Australian Police to be dispatched to Kensington Garden in Adelaide’s east.
A bystander claimed the station wagon’s driver had side-swiped a parked automobile before passing out behind the wheel.
A 44-year-old Prospect woman who had been checked for breathalyzer at the scene allegedly gave a reading of 0.289, which is more than five times the legal limit.
Her automobile was seized for 28 days, and her license was immediately revoked for a year.
She has an upcoming court appearance.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the collision, according to South Australian Police.
