Overnight, a single-vehicle accident in the southern part of New South Wales claimed the lives of four persons.
Emergency services were called to a complaint of a car accident near Leeton, roughly 550 kilometres west of Sydney, that involved a vehicle hitting a pole before being flipped onto its roof and down an embankment.
Before emergency personnel could arrive, all four of the car’s occupants passed away at the scene near the intersection of Research Road and Toorak Road in Yanco.
Although the victims have not yet been officially named, it is thought that a mother, 36, and three sons, ages 10, 11, and 12, who are all connected to one another, died.
A crime scene has been established by the police and will be investigated by specialised officers.
