Eight and twelve-year-old brothers who were kidnapped from their beds in the early hours of this morning are back at home tonight.
A 34-year-old guy who is reportedly unknown to the kids was detained after he is accused of snatching them from a house in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt.
James, age 8, was allegedly taken by the man when he allegedly broke into the Moora residence, located 177 kilometers north of Perth, at around 4 am.
The suspected perpetrator allegedly returned to the property after that and made an attempt to abduct the boy’s brother, Fabiano.
But, the 12-year-old was able to escape and raced back inside the house to tell an adult, according to the police.
The 12-year-old youngster showed incredible bravery and guts to free himself from that predicament, according to inspector Kareene Santoro.
According to the police, the man entered the front of the house directly before leaving with the first infant.
After three hours of searching, police discovered James in a nearby residence, where they said he was in a “distressed” state.
The kids were transported to the hospital for a checkup but were soon let go.
While specialized police question the young brothers, forensic police from Perth are investigating the area near the Moora residence.
The individual has been detained and is assisting investigators.
