On the north coast of New South Wales, three persons perished when the ute they were riding in veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Around 9.30 p.m. yesterday, police were called to Kangaroo Creek Road in Coutts Crossing, about 30 km south of Grafton.
Police reported that the driver, a 43-year-old man, and two passengers, a boy, 14, and a girl, 11, all passed away at the site.
The crime scene was set up by officers from the Coffs/Clarence Police District, who also started an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the collision.
The coroner will receive a report.
