According to the Security Council agenda, which was released Monday evening, the meeting of the UN Security Council about the sabotage at the Nord Stream pipeline, requested by Russia, has been rescheduled for Tuesday.
Voting on the draft Russian resolution calling for a global inquiry into the pipeline disaster is anticipated at the meeting.
The gathering will begin around 15:30 local time. The proposed resolution invites the UN Secretary General to set up an impartial, multilateral commission of attorneys to conduct the investigation. Zhang Jun, China’s permanent representative to the UN, had previously backed the resolution.
