Zomato no longer offers its well-known meal review and delivery services in Australia; instead, it currently only serves India and the United Arab Emirates.
Customers could utilize the Indian-founded restaurant aggregator to look for restaurants, find menus, and submit and read user reviews.
But it can no longer be accessed, and its website now simply states, “Goodbye Sydney.”
Along with ceasing business in Australia, the company has also left every other nation it had been present in, including the UK, New Zealand, Indonesia, Brazil, and more.
Currently, it is only accessible in the UAE and India, where it was founded.
The business left the Australian market after battling the COVID-19 outbreak.
Although Zomato declared in 2020 that it will leave Australia, the website and reviews were still available.
When this happened, a Zomato representative stated, “We have chosen to close our local operations in certain markets.
While acknowledging the support of our customers, the restaurant industry, and all other partners, we say that we are realigning our market strategy in accordance with our long-term goal.
