Tuesday, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called for substantial Turkish investment as well as collaboration in the safe and sustainable return of Rohingyas.
While outgoing Turkish Ambassador in Dhaka Mustafa Osman Turan paid a courtesy visit to her at her office in the city, she remarked, “I appeal for larger Turkish investment in Bangladesh.”
The Turkish government was encouraged by the prime minister to put pressure on Myanmar to return its citizens.

The Turkish envoy claimed that because of Bangladesh’s extensive infrastructure development, particularly for the creation of commercial zones, businesspeople from his nation had expressed interest in investing more money there.
He claimed that so far this year, two Turkish businesses have invested 850 million USD in this industrial zone.
Additionally, he pledged to offer every kind of assistance in the repatriation of Rohingya.
