Police in Sydney’s central business district are looking into the’suspicious’ death of a man whose body was discovered in a secret fire escape close to the FBI Cyber Cafe.
The 25-year-old Chinese national entered the cafe on Kent Street in the Meriton shopping center around 9 p.m. on December 4, and three days later, at around 3 p.m. on December 7, a cleaner discovered his body.
He was followed into a hallway by two other players before they eventually left the gaming cafe and the retail center.
Due to a CCTV blind spot in the hallway outside the gaming cafe, authorities had to ask for witnesses to help in their investigation.
Police stated in a statement that they had “created a crime scene” and had “started an investigation into the circumstances behind the man’s death, which is believed to be suspicious.”
Anyone who may have saw the man enter the stairway on Sunday, December 4, about 9 o’clock, is asked by police to call Crime Stoppers.
The man is described as having an Asian appearance and is sporting khaki work boots, black trousers, and a crew neck t-shirt.
