A 30-year-old man has been charged over the fatal traffic crash on Hamilton Island which killed Sydney bride Marina Morgan on her honeymoon.
Robbie Morgan was charged on Tuesday over the crash which left 29-year-old New South Wales woman critically injured.
Emergency services were called to Whitsunday Boulevard about 4.30pm on June 20, 2022, to reports a registered golf buggy had crashed but the woman died at the scene.
Ms Morgan and her husband were on the holiday of a lifetime when the buggy she was travelling in as a passenger toppled over while trying to do a U-turn.
The crash took place on Whitsunday Boulevard at the northern end of the island.
The couple, from Strathfield in Sydney, got married just 10 days earlier at Doltone House.
Following an extensive investigation, a 30-year-old man has since been charged with driving without due care and attention causing death, wearing of approved seatbelt by driver, wearing of approved seatbelt by passenger and using a mobile phone.
He is expected to appear before Proserpine Magistrates Court on December 5.
