The region conference (Region-8) of District 315 A2 Bangladesh of the International Association of Lions Clubs was held at Saidpur town of Nilphamari district today.
Chairperson of Region-08 of Lions District 315 A2 Bangladesh Lion Md. Abdul Mannan presided over the conference arranged at Saidpur Lions School and College being run by Saidpur Lions Club in Saidpur town, a press release said tonight.
District Governor of Lions District 315 A2 Bangladesh Lion Jalal Ahmed MJF (Melvin Jones Fellow) attended the conference as the chief guest.Cabinet Secretary of Lions District 315 A2 Bangladesh Lion Mohsin Imam Chowdhury, PMJF (Post Melvin Jones Fellow), its Convention -2022 Chairperson Lion Imran Faruk Moin MJF and North Bengal Coordinator, Rangpur Lion Enamul Haque Sohel were present as special guests.
Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers and Member Lions of all nine Lions Clubs under Region-08 of Lions District 315 A2 Bangladesh attended the conference.
At the beginning of the conference, a schooling program was arranged for the participating Lions followed by presentation of reports of all nine Lions Clubs under the region.Leaders of different Lions Clubs under Region-8 of Lions District 315 A2 Bangladesh discussed various organizational issues for expanding their activities to stand beside the suffering people with more humanitarian assistance.
The chief guest called upon leaders of different Lions Clubs to extend more assistance to the poor, distressed and helpless people especially during the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters.
