The Perth collision site where two other guys are battling for their lives and three young men were killed has welcomed back their grieving parents.
The driver, who was 22 years old at the time of the accident, managed to escape unharmed but was later charged with manslaughter and hazardous driving.
At around 5 in the morning on Saturday, a Holden Colorado went off Orrong Road, hit a tree, and smashed into the rear of a Carlisle home, killing 22-year-old Jayden Rukuata-Wood and the other passengers.
“My son had the biggest heart, but he was also the biggest goofball,” mother Kama Rukuata said.
The mishap was described by the first respondent, an off-duty nurse, as deeply upsetting.
“I ran over thinking well I can be a first responder, I’ll do what I can, but when I got there I realised there was nothing I could do,” Ilao explained.
Two of Jaiden’s companions were seriously hurt and died on the spot.
A young guy who loved cars, worked hard, and had just completed his panel beater apprenticeship—Jayden—was laid to rest today as his grieving family gathered at the scene.
“He loved his family, his mates, devastation that we’re going through at the moment is quite hard, we’re still waiting for him to come back,” said Ms Rukuata.
Two grieving mothers told that their sons’ mothers had no ill will toward the driver and had just sent him love and well wishes.
In an effort to aid others, Ms. Rukuata has promised to collaborate with the driver.
“My son isn’t your burden, he’s my burden,” stated the mother.
As the circumstances were given out in court, the driver’s parents broke down in tears. Prior to yesterday, the 22-year-old’s future appeared promising, according to a magistrate.
Aspiring to major in astrophysics, he graduated first in his class.
The bail was denied even though the police did not oppose. Three families are still processing “devastating… traumatic, life-changing news,” according to Police Commissioner Mike Bell.
“Another two families hoping their children pull through and of course, there’s a driver whose life is going to change forever.”

After a night on the town, the six friends were thought to be making their way home.
The driver allegedly failed a breath test, was probably going too fast, and several passengers might not have been wearing seatbelts, according to earlier allegations.
Royal Perth Hospital’s intensive care unit received the two survivors, a 19-year-old and a 23-year-old. With three additional lives lost on Western Australian roads over the weekend, authorities urged road users to wake up and take notice today.
Tragically, two Indonesian nationals were killed in a crash on Indian Ocean Drive.
Additionally, an 83-year-old woman lost control of her automobile due to a medical episode.
“I wonder how many people heard that and actually spoke to their child and I wonder if the people involved in yesterday’s crashes heard that and thought well it won’t happen to me,” added Bell.
