Sources close to Workplace Relations Minister Murray Watt have revealed that he has been the target of severe threats from individuals associated with the CFMEU.
Police were stationed outside Watt’s house today due to the seriousness of the threats.
Following claims that criminals had infiltrated the union, which were reported by 60 Minutes and Nine newspapers, the government recently passed legislation to put the union under administration.
The tumultuous union is followed by more accusations of intimidation and corruption.
The CFMEU’s problems, according to the appointed administrator, are more serious than previously disclosed.
