One man in his 30s is badly injured in a hospital; another man is on the run following a suspected attack in northern Sydney.
After emergency personnel dispatched to the area about 3.30pm today discovered a male with severe head injuries, a crime scene was set up on Joubert Street, Hunters Hill.
Before he was hurried to the Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical but stable state, paramedics treated him for some period.
Although authorities have not officially confirmed, it is thought a brawl started between two guys.
Last night, detectives were focusing on an apartment block on the street.
