After being struck by a car in Sydney’s west, a three-year-old kid was taken to the hospital.
Just before 1:00 PM today, there were reports of a youngster being hit by a car on Blacktown’s Greenbank Drive.
Emergency services were called to the scene.
After NSW Ambulance personnel requested a CareFlight chopper, a specialised physician was flown to the location to treat the youngster intensively.
A CareFlight representative stated that the chopper was deployed and reached the location in five minutes.
“May well have saved the child’s life,” the statement stated, citing the fast intervention of the helicopter and the specialised doctor.
The expert doctor was then driven to Westmead Children’s Hospital with the boy.
The toddler’s injuries are not life-threatening, and his status is currently stable.
A crime scene was set up by the police, and the Honda Accord was taken into custody for a mechanical inspection.
The driver, a male 22-year-old, was sent to the hospital for required testing.
