In Melbourne’s inner east this afternoon, two persons reported that a man brandishing a hammer threatened them and made an effort to take their automobiles.
Following lunchtime today, an incident happened on Victoria Street in Richmond during the day, leading to the arrest of a guy.
The man can be seen swinging a hammer at two drivers in a horrifying video that Mark News exclusively obtained.
It was initially thought that the man was trying to steal their cars.
In the vision, the man is seen entering one of the automobiles and then exiting it again, presumably because he was unable to start it.
The man then seems to swing the hammer carelessly away before coming back to smash one of the cars’ windows.
The individual was then observed leaving into Richmond’s back streets.
About twenty minutes later, police tracked down the man in a passageway off of Lennox Street.
Paramedics treated one of the drivers of the autos for minor wounds.
Despite being taken into custody, the suspected individual has not been charged.
