Detectives are attempting to ascertain the cause of death for two individuals who were found unexpectedly deceased in southern Queensland.
About noon yesterday, police were called for a welfare check to a property on King Street in Urangan, a coastal hamlet close to Hervey Bay.
Inside the flat, officers discovered the bodies of a 70-year-old male and a 68-year-old woman.
In a statement released today, police stated, “Police believe the man and woman were known to each other and there is no threat to the community.”
“Investigators and forensic police remain on scene today and a post-mortem will be conducted to determine cause of death.”
