Regarding a string of break-ins at churches, temples, and mosques around southeast Queensland, a 44-year-old man has been charged with 84 offences.
Between July and December of this year, there were allegedly 23 houses of worship where the violations were committed.
It is reported that the individual specifically targeted cash gifts from local congregations.
On December 28, shortly after midday, he was taken into custody for allegedly avoiding paying his fare at a Goodna public transit stop.
A 44-year-old Moggill resident is accused of 84 charges, including eight counts of breaking into a house, one act of intentional damage, four counts of using a motor vehicle without permission, twenty-eight counts of fraud, and 24 instances of entering a premise and conducting an indictable offence.
He was not granted bail and is scheduled to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court today via video link.
