According to NSW police, a pleasant summer’s day in Botany has taken a tragic turn as a man in his 50s passed away there.
The man was taken from a backyard pool of a suburban house on Botany Road in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
Until paramedics came shortly after lunchtime, bystanders continued to provide CPR to the man.
The individual was declared dead at the spot after being unable to be resuscitate. Police have set up a crime scene and are conducting an investigation.
