According to their attorney, the 15-year-old in Perth admitted guilt to stabbing a classmate, citing “horrendous” bullying as the reason for the student’s outburst.
After slashing a 16-year-old during an English lesson at Carine Senior High last Thursday at around 10 a.m., the youngster was charged with illegal wounding.
The boy’s back had two five-centimeter wounds from the incident.
Attorney David McKenzie claimed that the school bullying caused the 15-year-old to lash out.
“The bullying has been horrendous and it doesn’t excuse the behaviour but it is a factor that led to this,” McKenzie stated. “They’re a very nice family.”
The day following the attack, the victim left the hospital.
