The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted hot, windy, and dry weather with highs of 40 degrees on Friday and Saturday.
As a result, the Lower Central West Plains, Southern Riverina, Northern Riverina, and South Western area were placed under a complete fire ban today.
For residents in the northern regions of Murrumbidgee and the Southern Western communities of Balranald, Wentworth, Carrathool, Griffith, Hay, Leeton, Narrandera, and the Northern Riverina, an extreme fire danger warning was issued.
