Following a stabbing that occurred in Sydney’s southwest earlier this year, a man has been charged with murder.
Regarding the death of Ghassan Long, 24, who passed away from stab wounds sustained during a brawl at Roselands in February, an 18-year-old guy was taken into custody today.
He was not granted bail to attend today’s Children’s Court hearing.
In connection with the incident, three people have been charged with affray thus far, and they are still in court.
The most recent arrest occurred only one week after NSW police made public CCTV footage purportedly showing a group of males in the Roselands neighbourhood at the time of the alleged attack.
At first, the police said that the targeted fighting involved eight to ten participants.
Superintendent Sheridan Waldau stated at the time of the alleged attack, “We do not believe it is a random attack, we do believe these two groups were known to each other, under what circumstances we are not sure yet.”
