Titus Day, the former manager of singer Guy Sebastian, will go through a new trial after his convictions for purported embezzlement were overturned on appeal.
Before their partnership ended in 2017, Day handled the Australian Idol winner through his company, 6 Degrees, from 2009 to 2017.
He entered a not guilty plea to numerous allegations that claimed he stole about $900,000 that Sebastian was due in royalties, performance fees, and ambassador payments.
However, in June of last year, a jury in the NSW District Court found him guilty on 34 counts of fraud while clearing him on another 13 counts.
Following the trial, Day was ordered to repay around $624,000 and faced a maximum term of four years in jail.
But the NSW Court overturned his convictions.
