In a heartbreaking social media post, Johnny Ruffo’s boyfriend paid respect to the late actor from Home and Away.
Ruffo, who rose to popularity on the talent show X Factor, was initially diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 and then again in 2020. Ruffo passed away earlier this month at the age of 35 from brain cancer.
He “went peacefully” on November 10th, according to a message on his Instagram profile, with partner Tahnee Sims and family by his side.
“A forever love” is the description Ms. Sims used when she shared a video montage of the couple on her Instagram page on Sunday.
The couple was seen in the montage enjoying private moments together while on vacation in a variety of far-off places.
Renowned actress Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts on the serial opera Home and Away, was among thousands of people who left comments on the page.
“My dear… What you are going through is beyond my comprehension,” she stated.
“In our prayers and thoughts. I’m eager to give you my warmest embrace. We all adored Johnny dearly, but you miss him dearly as he was your soul mate and honey.”
In 2017, Ruffo received a brain cancer diagnosis; this was followed by a second diagnosis in 2020.
Early in August, he gave his 267,000 Instagram followers an update on his cancer journey, including a video montage of his six years in the hospital, during which he removed the staples from his surgery scar.
Ruffo published a book last year titled No Finish Line, which details his initial disclosure of the 7-centimeter brain tumour, also referred to as a stage 3 oligodendroglioma. While receiving treatment, he finished writing the book.
