After a car struck a pole in Sydney’s west, two occupants, including a 100-year-old woman, perished.
At approximately 11.30 a.m., the Toyota hatchback on Fitzwilliam Road in Toongabbie collided with a power pole.
Situated in the rear seat of the vehicle, the 100-year-old woman passed away instantly.
A second man, who was seated in the front seat and was 75 years old, passed away at the scene.
The driver, 72, was transferred to Westmead Hospital for required testing after sustaining minor injuries.
The three individuals were initially confined to the car, according to Fire and Rescue NSW.
There are now diversionary routes on Fitzwilliam Road.
