For secretly photographing young ladies inside their houses, a Port Melbourne real estate salesperson was sentenced to prison.
One of Joshua Allison’s victims claimed that she felt as though her innocence had been taken from her when she was secretly filmed in her bedroom. The 25-year-old stated she was filmed via her window.
I was extremely terrified when I saw an arm pull out of the window after taking my shower, she recalled.
He was doing it from the side of the house where the neighbours were, so we assumed he had scaled the fence. How someone could find satisfaction in doing such to young people is beyond me.
Allison preyed on 11 young women over the past ten years, including his female roommates. He planted a covert camera in the wall of their bathroom.
In January 2021, Allison was nabbed after a Coles manager in Port Melbourne saw him attempting to video up the skirts of two young females.
Police investigated his house after his arrest and discovered a hard disc with the name “The Collection” on it.
Following the 42-year-old’s “voyeuristic disorder” diagnosis, Allison’s defence team contended that his moral culpability was diminished due to his mental handicap.
Today, the judge threw this out and gave Allison a four-year, ten-month prison term.
The father of one child will also be listed as a lifelong sex offender.
