After an Adelaide neighbor’s flat caught fire, a guy was taken into custody after he struggled with the police.
At 3.30 in the morning, a fire engulfed a second-story unit on Tenth Street in Bowden, gutting the residence and rousing nearby residents.
When the fire alarm went off, a homeowner said, “We went outside and turned on the light, and the door had smoke coming out from the top.”
Although the source of the fire is still unknown, police are evaluating it as suspicious.
A neighbour “became disorderly” as emergency personnel were on the scene, which resulted in his detention.
He was detained by police for disorderly conduct, assaulting officers, and resisting arrest.
No one was home when the fire broke out, and nobody was hurt.
