Following an alleged machete attack at a house party in western Sydney overnight, a man will appear in court today.
Around 11.15 p.m., emergency personnel were called to a home in Plumpton after hearing claims of a man having his face cut.
The 25-year-old victim received treatment for facial injuries at the scene before being transferred to the hospital in a critical but stable condition.
A short while later, in Hebersham, police detained a 29-year-old male.
One count of wounding someone with the intent to inflict great bodily damage was brought against him.
He will appear in court today after being denied bail.
According to the police, the males were strangers.
