Police are looking for a guy who was last spotted running from the grounds of an alleged yesterday arson at a school in Melbourne’s east.
Yesterday at 1.30 am, a fire broke out at Heatherwood School on Springvale Road in Donvale, destroying five classrooms and a canteen.
Detectives think that the building’s northwest corner was set on fire from within.
According to police, the unidentified male was last seen leaving the school and running along Springvale Road.
According to the description, the man is Caucasian, 180 cm tall, with a lean frame, dark hair, and a mid-thirties age.
His face was covered by a black and white paisley bandana, and he may have been toting a black Nike bag. He was dressed in a black hooded top.
While inquiries into the precise circumstances and cause of the fire continue, police have set up a crime scene.
