Police said they are following various leads and will widen their search area as they look into the mysterious disappearance of Brisbane father Brett Orme.
On August 11, Orme was last observed driving away from a residence on Odense Street in Fitzgibbon in a white 2012 Nissan Navara while donning a high-visibility work shirt.
Two days later, while in the Samford neighborhood of Iron Bark Gully, the 54-year-old shed builder spoke with family, but he hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
On August 16, his phone was discovered abandoned near Iron Bark Gully and turned over to the police.
Then, on Saturday, police discovered his automobile in a remote area near the Tinchi Tamba wetlands in Bald Hills, which is located 20 kilometers from Iron Bark Gully.
The search will be widened tomorrow to include bushland farther west from Iron Bark Gully toward Samford.
