Just before 4 o’clock, police found the five-week-old infant safe and sound.
Police had grave worries for the baby’s wellbeing on Thursday afternoon when he and his adolescent father went missing.
Officers were looking for a 17-year-old who had not been seen since midday in Mandurah, close to Terry Crescent and Wyeree Road.
Just one hour after police urged the father to come forward, the baby was found.
According to Insp. Geoff DeSanges, “concerns are held for the welfare of the five-week-old child and it is imperative that police find (the father) as soon as possible.”
