A Melbourne man went missing along a local stream 11 days ago, and his grieving mother said she now fears the worst.Police believe Justin Males was murdered soon after returning from a date.
Each second he is gone feels like an unimaginable pain, according to his parents Lisa and Kym, who say he has been missing since last Tuesday.
Someone knows something, and we need to find him, I just know it in my heart and stomach, Lisa remarked.
Although he is 34 years old, he is still my baby, you know.
When Justin’s closest friend Amber Lindsay dropped him off at home on July 11, he was last seen.
Lindsay stated, “He went on a date with a guy in Gisborne and he said he was boyfriend material.
He chose to go along Barries Road towards the stream rather than enter a building, pausing only to pull on a pair of trousers over his shorts.
He strolled along to the bike path before vanishing.
Justin, also known as Justin Bernard, stands 180 cm tall and has short, dark hair.
On his right arm, which was disabled after a stroke, he has unusual tattoos.
He was dressed in a red three-quarter-length camouflage pant, a black long-sleeved KSCY brand hooded shirt, and black runners.
It is “completely out of character” for the 34-year-old to “just vanish off the face of the earth basically,” according to Victoria Police detective sergeant Robert Henley.
Without success, police have looked along the creek.
He had a history of drug misuse, but according to his parents, he recently turned his life around and now has a lot to look forward to.
While the inquiry is ongoing, police are not excluding anything.
He may have been the victim of foul play, or he might have been dealing with some psychological problems at the time, Henley added.
His whereabouts are a top concern for his parents.
“Send us a message, let us know, and dump him at a hospital,” I don’t care… Lisa commanded, “Bring our boy home to us.
Police are interested in speaking with the Grindr user Justin met, who could be able to provide some insight on Justin’s mental condition at the time.
Additionally, detectives want to talk to anyone else who may have crossed paths with Justin.
