After assaulting a little boy on the Gold Coast, a man attempted to steal his electric bike but was unsuccessful.
On July 11, at around 4.20 p.m., a child and his bike were being pushed over on the Gold Coast Highway at Burleigh Heads near Gardenia Grove by a guy, according to surveillance footage released by Queensland Police on Friday.
The man tried to steal the 14-year-old boy’s bike as he was sitting on it and conversing with friends, according to the police.
In a statement, police said that the victim “held onto his bike and refused to let go.”
“One of the boy’s companions gave the man two kicks before snatching the bike’s key and bolting.
The man tried to catch his pal but was unsuccessful.

Police are requesting that anybody who has seen the man or the silver vehicle call them.
“The man is described as having a tanned complexion, about 185cm tall, of medium build, and was wearing a black singlet and black shorts.”
