After allegedly attacking the Olympic boxer in Sydney’s east earlier this year, Harry Garside’s ex-girlfriend was prosecuted.
Ashley Ruscoe, 35, was taken into custody by police on Wednesday after they visited a Belle Vue Hill residence to look into an alleged domestic violence incident on March 1.
Police stated in a statement that Ruscoe was taken to Waverley Police Station and charged with common assault (DV) and stalking and threatening with the intent to cause fear or physical harm (DV).
Ruscoe will appear in Downing Center Local Court on Wednesday after receiving conditional bail.
It follows the dismissal of domestic abuse allegations against Garside, 25, in June.
He was initially accused of the same alleged incident on March 1 at the Bellevue Hill residence and was charged with one count of common assault involving domestic violence.
After returning from abroad to film a reality television show, the boxer was detained in May at Sydney Airport.
Garside, who represented Australia and won the bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, plans to compete in Paris.
