On the Newcastle reconstruction site of the John Hunter Hospital, a man lost his life following a working accident.
After the man got stuck, emergency personnel were rushed to the construction site close to the hospital on Jacaranda Drive in New Lambton Heights.
A 20-year-old man was attended to at the scene by paramedics from NSW Ambulance before being transferred in a serious condition to the John Hunter Hospital, where he later passed away, according to police.
Ryan Park, the minister of health, extended his “deepest condolences” to the man’s family, friends, and coworkers.
Everyone concerned finds this distressing, and support and therapy are offered for employees, staff, and their families during this trying period, according to Park.
