After being charged, three individuals who were reportedly involved in a violent altercation over an e-scooter transaction will remain in custody.
Three men were stabbed and a dog was killed during the weekend incident in Brisbane’s southwest, and Aron Nsengiyumva, 21, Alex Edward Deng, 20, and John Wal Wal, 24, have been remanded in custody on a number of offences.
On Sunday night, three armed men are accused of demanding that the occupants of a Forest Lake residence turn up an e-scooter that was listed for private sale on social media for $2000.
Three guys, aged 33, 30, and 21, who were housemates were stabbed by the intruders after arming themselves with shovels and engaging in a violent garden struggle.
Nsengiyumva, a Redbank resident, showed up in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday with what seemed to be facial injuries.
On July 24, his case was postponed.
When his case was postponed to the same date, co-accused Deng, a Darra resident, did not show up in court.
They are being held without bond since they did not request it.
The Goodna resident Wal Wal made an appearance before Richlands Magistrates Court on Monday.
Until his subsequent court appearance in October, he will be held in jail.
Serious animal cruelty, violence threats, breaking and entering, attempted illegal entry, and injuring are among the offenses for which all three individuals have been accused.
Two of the suspected attackers inspected the scooter at the Forest Lake residence around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to police, before attempting to make a fake cash payment.
After a fight, they are said to have brandished a knife but fled without the scooter.
After some time had passed, they returned with a second man and allegedly scaled the rear fence while carrying knives, machetes, and what was later identified as a gel blaster pistol.
They are accused of demanding the scooter and forcing the victims outdoors by slashing the dog and breaking rear glass doors.
Police and nighttime veterinarians made an effort, but the dog ultimately passed away.
Two of the suspected attackers were hurt during the altercation, authorities said, including one who sustained a fractured cheekbone, an eye socket laceration, and a skull fracture.
