After an elderly woman was discovered dead in her house in Melbourne’s north-west, a man has been charged with murder.
Around 5.40 p.m. on June 12, the 81-year-old man was discovered dead inside a residence on Macedon Street in Maribyrnong.
A 55-year-old male was detained this morning at an address in South Yarra, according to Victoria Police.
He has been accused of one count of murder, according to a statement from Victoria Police.
He is currently incarcerated and is scheduled to testify in front of Melbourne Magistrates Court in October.
