In a Queensland bay, a guy has been saved from a sinking boat.
The 61-year-old man was discovered yesterday afternoon by Hervey Bay Water Police clinging to a tiny boat that had capsized and sunk in the waters off Tin Can Bay.
Just before 4 o’clock, authorities received reports of a vessel that was sinking.
The man was rescued from the sea by police officers and a Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol Officer, who then took him to the Snapper Creek Boat Ramp.
He was sent to Gympie Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after receiving treatment for hypothermia.
