In Queensland, four businesses have been completely destroyed by fire overnight in what is likely an arson assault.
At 1.15 am, a commercial structure on Fredrick Street in Logan caught fire, destroying a fourth establishment in addition to a Chinese restaurant, a tattoo parlor, and a tobacconist.
The tobacconist was recently attacked in a separate claimed arson attempt, but it’s unclear whether the two flames are connected, according to officials.
“It happened before, but I didn’t think it would affect the entire thing,” said Taiari Robinsonclough, owner of a nearby shop.
Arson is not completely excluded by police.
CCTV footage will be reviewed by investigators to attempt and determine what started the fire.
