The shooting death of a former biker in Sydney’s Inner West has given rise to charges against a second man.
In June of last year, Yusuf Nazlioglu, 40, allegedly came out of his car in the underground parking of an apartment complex in Rhodes and was shot up to ten times in front of his wife.
Emergency personnel arrived quickly, but he passed away in the hospital a short while afterwards.
Just before 6 am today, Taskforce Erebus detectives stopped a car on Eighteenth Avenue in Austral, and a 33-year-old man was taken into custody.
“Detectives later carried out search warrants at homes in Austral, Granville, and Bankstown, where they seized a number of items,” NSW Police said in a statement. “These items will undergo further forensic examination.”
“The man was taken to Liverpool Police Station, where he has been charged with murder.”
He was denied bail and will likely make a second appearance at Burwood Local Court on June 28.
Mohammed Khalid, 25, is still in custody after being indicted in April for his suspected involvement.
