Following the alleged stabbing of his long-term girlfriend in Melbourne’s south-east earlier this week, a man has been charged with murder.
Following the discovery of Monique Lezsak’s body with stab wounds in Endeavour Hills on May 30, Sven Lindemann, 51, was today charged with murder and carelessly endangering another person.
It’s believed that Lezsak’s twin daughter, who is 10 years old, also suffered injuries when she intervened to assist her mother.
The injuries to her daughter have been labelled as “serious” by Victoria Police.
Additionally hurting his upper body, Lindemann is still being watched over by police at Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital.
This afternoon, he appeared in court by video link.
He will continue to be detained until his subsequent court date in October.
