Following the discovery of a man’s body inside a sizable metal cabinet in a creek on the New South Wales Mid-North Coast earlier this month, two men have been detained.
After being reported missing, the body of the 22-year-old male was discovered on May 12 in Warrell Creek in Macksville.
Police were looking into an alleged drug supplier in southern Sydney’s Caringbah neighbourhood when they made the discovery.
According to police, a 22-year-old man was detained and charged with murder after being found in a Peakhurst residence last week.
He was denied bail and will make a second appearance in Downing Centre Local Court on August 17.
After police drove to Brisbane and carried out many search warrants, they made several arrests, including that of the other male, a 33-year-old man, on Wednesday.
He was detained due to an outstanding warrant, and police have requested that he be returned to New South Wales (NSW).
