In Perth, Western Australia, police confiscated more than $1.8 million in cash from a car’s boot.
According to police, a 36-year-old man concealed more than $1.8 million in cash inside a duffel bag before packing it into a suitcase.
On May 4, police discovered the suitcase in the trunk of the man’s rental vehicle.
When he was stopped by police on the Great Eastern Highway, the man was allegedly trying to drive into the Eastern states from Western Australia with the money.
He was brought into custody and accused with property laundering in Perth.
On June 16, the man will show up in Perth Magistrates court.
