Following allegations of a gunshot in Sydney’s south-west, five people have been detained.
After hearing allegations of gunfire, police were rushed to Liverpool’s Charles Street soon after 2 a.m.
They encircled a group of apartments and dispatched specialists, including negotiators.
At around 2.15 in the morning, a woman was detained after leaving the building.
When two more ladies and two males were taken into custody, the operation came to a close at around 5.40am.
No injuries have been reported.
Police are getting ready to carry out a warrant at the crime scene.
