A garbage truck crashed into the front of a restaurant in western Sydney, locking a guy inside its cabin where he had to be cut free.
At the incident on Joseph Street in Lidcombe, firefighters utilised powerful tools to cut and “push” the front of the truck off of the man.
Adam Dewberry, the caretaker, said.
Around six in the morning, a restaurant-housed structure allegedly suffered structural damage when a truck smashed into it.
The truck passenger, a guy, wasn’t released until around 7.30 am.
He was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The man was “conscious and responding” when they removed him from the truck, according to Fire and Rescue NSW.
