In a Gold Coast apartment, a woman allegedly suffered from hammer blows, knife wounds, and hair removal.
The 34-year-old was allegedly abused and tormented by two guys who were acquainted with the victim before being transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with head injuries and a significant leg laceration.
Around 1.30 am, a lady can be seen on surveillance video sprinting down the stairs of an apartment building on Trickett Street before making her way to a Laycock Street hotel and dialling 911.
Following an alleged assault in Surfers Paradise, two men have been charged.
A caravan of policemen arrives around 30 minutes later and arrests the two men.
That wasn’t a simple arrest, according to the neighbours, who reported loud shouting and the need for authorities to break down the door.
In a statement from Queensland Police, they said that during the course of 45 minutes, “it will be alleged that the men, who were known to the victim, assaulted her at the Trickett Street unit with a hammer, cut her leg with a knife, and chopped her hair with a multi-tool.”
Following an alleged assault in Surfers Paradise, two men have been charged.
The two males, one from Mareeba, age 36, and the other from Surfers Paradise, age 40, were each charged with one count of torture as well as a number of other offences such injuring, assault causing bodily damage, and deprivation of liberty.
Today’s appearance in Southport Magistrates Court was set for the men.
The woman’s condition is stable.
